Specifications

Built to your spec.

Most breakage happens inside the carton, when bottles, jars or glassware knock against each other. A partition grid gives every item its own cell. Eastern Dragon makes corrugated partitions in Addis Ababa: slotted strips that interlock into a grid, cut to the number and size of cells you need.

Partitions are used for bottled drinks, edible oil, sauces and honey, glassware, ceramics and sanitary fittings, and anything fragile shipped several to a carton. Layer pads between tiers spread the load and stop the tier above pressing on caps and necks; die-cut inserts hold odd shapes and accessories in place.

Order them with your cartons, so the grid, the pads and the box are sized to each other. Send the item (or its diameter and height), the number per carton and the layout, and we will cut a sample for you to try.

FAQ

Good to know.

What is a carton partition?

A grid of slotted corrugated strips that interlock inside a carton, giving each bottle, jar or glass item its own cell so they cannot knock together.

Can partitions be made for our bottle size?

Yes. Send the bottle diameter and height (or a bottle), the number per carton and how you want them arranged, and we will cut the grid to fit.

Do we need layer pads as well?

When a carton holds more than one tier, a corrugated pad between the tiers spreads the weight and protects the caps and necks below. Pads are cut from the same board as the grid.
