01 · Board
3-ply or 5-ply?
Corrugated board is liners with fluting between them. More layers of fluting means more strength, and a heavier, thicker board.
5-ply · double wall
Heavy, fragile or export goods, and tall stacks in storage.
02 · Flutes

03 · Box styles
Three styles cover most orders.
FEFCO 0201
Regular slotted carton
The everyday shipping box: four flaps top and bottom, closed with tape or glue.
FEFCO 0427
Self-lock / die-cut box
Folds together without tape. Popular for e-commerce, food and gift packs.
FEFCO 0301
Telescopic box
A separate lid over a base. Used for flower boxes and heavy produce.
04 · Measuring
Measure the inside.
Always give inside dimensions in millimetres, as length × width × height. Length is the longer side of the opening, width the shorter, height the depth.
- Measure the product, then add a few millimetres of space.
- Tell us how many products go in each box.
- Tell us how the boxes are stacked and shipped.
05 · Artwork
Print-ready artwork.
Good files mean sharp print and no delays. If yours are not ready, send what you have and we will help.
Vector PDF or AI
EPS, PNG and JPG also accepted.
Colours
CMYK for offset print; name any brand spot colours.
3 mm bleed
Extend backgrounds past the cut line.
Fonts outlined, images 300 dpi
So nothing shifts or blurs in print.

What is the difference between 3-ply and 5-ply?
3-ply board has one layer of fluting between two liners and suits light to medium goods. 5-ply has two layers of fluting and suits heavy, fragile or export goods and tall stacks.
Which dimensions should I send?
Send the inside dimensions in millimetres, in the order length × width × height, with the product that goes in the box. If you are not sure, send the product size and we will work out the box.
What artwork files do you accept?
Vector PDF or AI files work best, with fonts outlined, images at 300 dpi and 3 mm bleed. We also accept EPS, PNG and JPG and can help prepare your file.
Can I get a sample before full production?
Yes. Tick “Send me a sample” on the quote form and we will arrange it before your order runs.
How long does production take?
It depends on the product, print and quantity. We confirm the lead time with your quote.
Do you deliver outside Addis Ababa?
Yes. We deliver across Ethiopia and to neighbouring East African countries.
